Tami Morton, M.Ed, Ph.D ABD

Tami Morton taught kindergarten and first grade for five years in a public school setting. After this time, she went into the educational publishing business, as a writer and editor of language arts and reading materials. After 10 years in the educational publishing business, she followed her heart and went back into teaching.
She is now working towards her Ph.D. in Reading at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. While being a full time student, she also teaches undergraduates in the College of Education. Her passion is children’s and adolescent literature and preparing pre-service teachers for the field.
Tami lives in Highland Village, Texas where she has resided for seven years. She and her husband have two sons, who are 13 and 10.
