Kathy Johnson, M.Ed.

Kathy Johnson is a veteran teacher with more than twenty years of experience in both the public and private school settings. She is an early childhood consultant specializing in reading and science and has spoken on these and other subjects both nationally and internationally.

She believes each child is unique and has dedicated over 15 years to helping children of poverty, second language learners, and children with special needs. She hopes to empower every child she touches by fostering in them a love for reading and learning.

Kathy has served as a mentor teacher for Texas Christian University and Tarleton State University. This has provided her with the opportunity to share her knowledge and expertise with many young teachers encouraging them to make a difference in their communities.

She is a Fort Worth native who is active in many professional and service organizations including the Junior League of Fort Worth. She has also served for the last thirty years as a volunteer and officer on several non-profit boards dedicated to women and children.

Kathy is the proud parent of two adult children who both have a love of reading.
